How To Tell Power Draw Reddit
Noob question here about ability usage.
And then I got a 1080 ti and a 970 running on my rig with a 1000w platinum psu would I have to worry about being charged extra for my power bill if I live in an apartment? The scripts are saying that the 970 is taking upwardly similar 186w and the 1080 ti is taking up 280w which is far below the amount of wattage my psu pushes thanks for answering!

I have a UPS fastened to my rig that tells me exact power usage. You tin can do something similar if yous want to know the verbal ability draw. Some power bars/smart plugs will also tell y'all power usage and track it over time.

The PSU volition only draw wall ability upwards to the rated wattage, more or less (its a bit more complicated that that) if the components feeding off it need information technology - Your PSU is not drawing 1000W all the time it is turned on.
level 2
Is there a way I tin can calculate this?

Y'all won't be charged extra, But Retrieve! The rest of your rig needs power besides. (CPU, mobo, fans, etc). Accept that into consideration when calculating ability

Await at your power beak and see an average of how much yous pay per kWh, and then plug a meter outlet into the wall and then your pc plugins into that meter. It volition tell yous how many watts you lot are using, then times that past 24 for 24 hours a day.
level ane
Yes, your ability pecker will be higher but you lot volition more than make that up in earnings.
